TURNING BACK
Attractive, academically gifted daughter of a working class, West Yorkshire family in wartime 1940's, Miriam Sanderson leaves the mill town of her birth to make her future elsewhere. Its promising course is to be abruptly diverted by events for which her sheltered upbringing has ill prepared her and which will ultimately condemn her to a lifetime lived in their shadow.
Seen from the differing perspectives of those that know her best and set amidst the various places in which she goes on to live, her story unfolds. For years the secret at its heart is something never spoken of. It remains to those that follow to confront the final truth and will be left to them to chart the repercussions of the past.
